Our Story
Cassowary Transport Australia was founded by Cadence Willson — a quiet but determined truck driver who saw firsthand how the industry was failing its workers. Tired of slow load times, poor conditions, and empty promises, she set out to create something better. With that vision in mind, she brought in Richard Kirkpatrick as CEO to lead Cassowary into its next phase of growth while she steps back for personal reasons.
Cassowary Transport was built to raise the bar in Australian freight. Our Focus is simple: Deliver freight with unwavering quality, safety, and integrity — while empowering our operators and redefining how logistics should work.
We’re setting a new standard. All owner-operators at Cassowary are paid above industry averages, and every team member receives formal training in freight handling, safety, and shipping protocols. Whether you're entering with a car license or already running rigs, our goal is to help you become a multi-combination operator with real experience under your belt.
