Cassowary Transport is an Australian-owned logistics and supply chain organisation built on history, discipline, and trust.
Our name dates back to Commonwealth transport programs of the 1940s that supported Defense logistics and national supply coordination.
Though the original organisation was later decommissioned, its principles of precision and service still guide everything we do.
Re-registered in 2025 under new leadership, Cassowary Transport is rebuilding that legacy for the modern era. We are creating a fully integrated, flat-rate freight network focused on reliability, transparency, and national reach.
Our foundations in Defense supply culture drive how we operate. We employ and train veterans whose discipline and leadership define our standards. Every part of our system—from freight and courier services to multi-service hubs—is designed with the same structure, accountability, and efficiency that once powered Australia’s Defense logistics network.
Cassowary Transport exists to deliver that same level of certainty to every client, across every sector, nationwide.

Cassowary Transport is led by Richard J. Kirkpatrick, an operator with more than a decade of experience in transport, logistics, and infrastructure. His work across agriculture, mining, and corporate development has focused on building systems that work under pressure, with the same precision and discipline that defined Australia’s Defence supply networks.
This background shaped Cassowary Transport’s direction.
The company was founded to rebuild and modernise the national supply framework that once served Defence and industry alike. Veterans are central to that mission. Their training, reliability, and decision-making under pressure form the professional standard the company is built around.
